Elizabeth Manor House was a really lovely place to stay overnight. As a lot of our weekend was based in Bathurst we were initially a bit concerned about the drive to the house, but once we reached our destination we knew it was worth it. The countryside is beautiful and our room and facilities were extremely comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delivered right on time and the eggs were cooked perfectly! It's a very private, quiet and peaceful environment. We are very pleased to have had this experience.

My wife and I had a great overnight stay at Elizabeth Manor House. The House is really well built, and each unit is superb. Everything you need is in the unit, and they are very spacious. Robert was great, and we had a few chats to him. They both have put a lot of work into the House, and are doing a lot of work on the landscaping. Both are hard workers, and are easy to get on with.

Elizabeth Manor House is absolutely beautiful! Very tranquil I wish we had time off work so that we could have stayed longer. Fantastic hosts, very friendly we all went to dinner together. The only thing is the place is a little hard to find once you turn off O'Connell Rd if you don't keep your eyes open, there is a sign on the first street on the right but I missed it, but that's all part of the experience. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a weekend away from the kids to go to Elizabeth Manor House!

The facility is 5 star as is the service, welcome and breakfast. The location is quite close to Oberon and Bathurst and the owners of the house provided an excellent map of how to get to the house as it is a bit off the main road. Air conditioning, in-house DVD, Television, numerous books to read, nice countryside for a walk or drive---it was very relaxing and particularly quiet!!The O'connellPub is a reasonable place to get a meal and the owners can recommend other opportunities as well as use of the BBQ facilities at the house. We stayed at the house in early january 2010 en route to Parkes for the annual Elvis festival. We travelled from Sydney on the day we arrived in O'Connell and it was an easy drive and pleasant. We will happily recommend to our friends.

I would thoroughly recommend this place for a quiet retreat, the owner and staff were excellent the only thing was it was hard to find as the street information did not appear on the car navigator we had and two of the other visitors had the same problem, but the map the owner supplied was very helpful without that we would have been lost. The owner and staff treated you like family I would go back again. I would give 5 stars for the setup of the room and the whole experience.

The Elizabeth Manor was a little difficult to find but totally worth the trip. We experienced a wonderful surprise which can only describe as a piece of paradise in the middle of nowhere. Alisa and her partner were most welcoming and friendly and the accommodation could only be described as 6 star accommodation and to our surprise the rooms were suites with kitchen, lounge, ensuite and bedroom all designed with elegance and attention to detail allowing total privacy or you could mingle in the lounge area located just outside the suites. The breakfast was the standard of any top chefs could offer in the best hotels which was served in the most beautiful dining room. We now know that we could have pre organized Alisa to also cook us dinner and cooked our own BBQ on the veranda. The Elizabeth Manor was spotless with high quality sheets and towels which is a credit to Alisa as all the house keeping is done by her alone with no hired help. I highly recommend to any one to try the experience as like us I'm sure they will walk away with the promise to return.

I have already been sharing the news when we tell our family and friends where we are going and how we came to hear about the activity. Our experience was really very nice and the owners of Elizabeth Manor bent over backwards to make our stay very pleasant and very comfortable. Communication was clear and to the point, we paid extra for dinner (which was a Christmas in July theme), but that had been agreed upon when we first booked and it was an option that we chose to take up. The food was great (too much!), and all home cooked very nicely even to an old fashioned recipe for the plum pudding - Yummm!! Just letting you know how grateful we were for your hospitality on the weekend. Both Neville and I had a great stay and thought your place is truly charming. Our suite, "Victoria", was just beautiful and grand and we loved the outlook from the windows (kangaroos in the morning mist). Breakfast was great and filling and kept us going for most of the day, and thanks for the recommendation for dinner on Saturday night, The O'Connell Hotel .. it too was a revelation. We had a great time at Jenolan Caves on Sunday, before taking the "scenic" route back through Taralga to Goulburn and on to home.

Hopefully we can return at a later date to enjoy your hospitality and check out more of the surrounding areas.
